Pad-mounted distribution transformers
Pad-mounted transformers are outdoor units that sit on a concrete pad, with the high-voltage and low-voltage connections in locked, tamper-resistant compartments. They step medium voltage down for a building or campus, and step the output of solar inverters, wind turbines, and battery systems up to a project's collection system.

Substation power transformers
Substation power transformers step transmission voltage down to medium voltage for utilities, data centers, and industrial plants, and step a renewable or storage project's collection system up to transmission voltage. Each one is engineered to its site, with voltages, MVA rating, impedance, and cooling set by the project specification.

A transformer quote starts from the specification. These details let TGI quote the right unit and set out a delivery date.
Request a quote- Type
- Pad-mounted distribution or substation power transformer, single-phase or three-phase, and loop or radial feed for pad-mounts
- Rating
- kVA or MVA at each cooling stage, such as ONAN/ONAF, and the winding temperature rise
- Voltages and insulation
- High-voltage and low-voltage ratings, BIL, and taps, including any load tap changer
- Impedance and connections
- Percent impedance and winding connections, such as delta-wye
- Cooling and fluid
- Cooling class and insulating fluid
- Losses and sound
- Loss evaluation factors and sound level limits, where your specification sets them
- Standards
- The standards your specification calls for
- Site and date
- Delivery location and the date the unit is needed on site
